MAKING CONNECTIONS AND NEW FRIENDS – TELECOMMUNICATIONS GIANT KELLY GROUP BACKS WINNER OF LONDON MARY CONTEST

The London Mary from Dungloe competition helps to connect and bring together young women of Irish heritage in London in an exciting ambassadorial pageant. The winner will go on to represent the British city alongside other young women of Irish descent from all around the world.

Kelly Group is known for connecting people globally through their telecommunication and utility networks in collaboration with several leading service providers.

The telecommunications giant has come onboard to sponsor the winner of the London Mary from Dungloe competition, who will receive a trip to Ireland to represent London at the famous Mary from Dungloe International Arts Festival from 27 July to 5 August 2024.

The London Mary representative will attend the legacy event in Ireland with Mary’s from all over the world, where fantastic prizes are on offer and the opportunity to attend events, support great causes and be a global ambassador for Donegal.

The link to communications is a perfect fit for the ambassadorial pageant which is about connecting young women to their Irish heritage and homeland, and a place to meet and make new Irish friends.

London Mary from Dungloe is a popular competition for representatives of Irish descent who live in London. It is open to females aged between 18 - 35 who have a connection with Ireland, and who will be an ambassador for Donegal in the British capital.

The Mary from Dungloe International Arts Festival has been held annually for the past 55 years in the town of Dungloe and centres around the pageant which finds representatives (affectionately dubbed ‘Mary’) who best embodies the spirit of the festival, and who'll be an inspiring ambassador for the county of Donegal.

She is named ‘Mary from Dungloe’ for a 12-month period and acts as an official ambassador for the festival, the community and the county; promoting the essence of Irish pride. Irish emigrant communities from around the globe take part in the festival by nominating a candidate from their city to represent them at the international pageant in Donegal.
